About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Lanark, Illinois. You will join our Engineering team to support manufacturing operations. This role provides direct exposure to the daily responsibilities and project work typical for an industrial engineer.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Engineering team with projects to support the manufacturing plant.
- Optimize workflows through process mapping.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to increase overall efficiency.
- Redesign and optimize facility layouts.
- Conduct line balance reviews of assembly lines.
- Execute time studies and develop production standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering or a related technical field, with preference for students completing their sophomore or junior year.
- A GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week on-site.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with others while remaining self-motivated to complete individual tasks.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $21.50 per hour.
