About the role#
This part-time student worker position supports the build and operation of a continuous integration environment for a new manufacturing test asset. You will work directly with engineers to validate test content and catch regressions on physical hardware before they reach production. This role is designed to complement your academic studies with hands-on professional experience.
What you'll do#
- Assemble and wire test rigs.
- Deploy firmware and test configurations.
- Configure and execute test suites on a continuous basis.
- Monitor test runs, document results, and provide status updates during campaigns.
- Perform first-pass failure triage and routing.
- Write and maintain test-run scripts while documenting setups and roadblocks.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Proficiency with Linux and command-line interfaces.
- Strong programming skills in Python and Git.
- Hands-on hardware and lab skills, including experience with schematics, wiring, and instruments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week for at least three months.
