Part-Time Student Worker – Hardware Software Integration Engineer

About the role#

This part-time student worker position is a contract role designed to complement your academic studies with hands-on experience. You will join the Software Systems team to contribute directly to real-world projects, working alongside engineers and researchers to support the development of autonomous vehicle technology. This role requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week for at least three months.

What you'll do#

• Execute and coordinate validation cycles for manufacturing test infrastructure, with a primary focus on driving test stability.
• Act as on-call support for the factory to unblock operations.
• Document, triage, characterize, and report stability issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to navigate complex technical systems.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a B.S. or M.S. program in Automotive Engineering, Robotics, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
• Proficiency with Linux, Git, and Jira.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments.
• Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics, safety-critical systems, simulation environments, or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing is preferred.
• Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements regarding proprietary company information.
