About the role#
ZOLL Medical Corporation is offering a 6-month Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op position at our headquarters in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Department and collaborate with operations personnel across multiple teams, including electrical, mechanical, industrial, and quality engineering. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Support the manufacturing of medical devices.
- Create and update production fixtures using 3D CAD software.
- Perform documentation and work instruction updates.
- Conduct root cause investigations.
- Assist with floor layout projects.
- Apply Lean and 6Sigma techniques to improve quality, cost, and delivery.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Completion of at least your first year of study with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience designing parts, assemblies, and fixtures in SolidWorks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and under direction.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Experience with engineering changes and validation activities is a plus, as is prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
