About the role#
As a Supplier Industrialization Engineering Intern, you will focus on improving manufacturing operations and quality at critical supplier locations. You will collaborate with internal and external teams to refine manufacturing processes, manage assembly line implementation, and ensure our partners meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
What you'll do#
- Participate in design for manufacturing and assembly discussions to optimize product efficiency.
- Assist with the planning, budgeting, design, procurement, and validation of assembly lines for product builds.
- Develop and maintain essential process documentation including process flows, control plans, and work instructions.
- Support the evaluation and qualification of new suppliers to meet production standards.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least the second year of undergraduate studies in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, or Mathematics.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with a preference for NX.
- Understanding of traditional and non-traditional manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in South San Francisco, California.
- The term takes place during Summer 2027.
