About the role#
The Launch & Scale team builds the operating system that brings new sites and partners online. We turn complex dependencies into clear plans, tools, and operating rhythms. As an intern, you will report to the Director of Launch & Site Operations. You will contribute to projects that improve how we plan, execute, and learn from launches. You will work with Launch Managers and teams across infrastructure, flight operations, and commercial departments. You will own a scoped project from problem definition through to pilot and handoff.
What you'll do#
- Organize milestones, dependencies, risks, and open decisions for integrated launch plans.
- Analyze launch and site-operations data to find bottlenecks and improve speed or quality.
- Build or improve practical tools like dashboards, playbooks, templates, checklists, or lightweight automations.
- Prepare status summaries and decision briefs for readiness reviews.
- Participate in onsite launch activities to capture field observations and translate them into process improvements.
- Own a specific project from start to finish, including measurement and final handoff.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s or graduate degree in operations, engineering, business, supply chain, data and analytics, or a related field.
- Structured problem-solving skills and curiosity about how complex physical or technical systems operate.
- Experience with quantitative analysis using spreadsheets and at least one tool such as SQL, Python, or a business-intelligence platform.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Evidence of following through on a project that involved multiple contributors.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous situations and asking questions to clarify details.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in South San Francisco, California.
- The term runs during Winter 2027.
- This position is paid.
