About the role#
This internship is part of the Business Analytics team, which focuses on high-impact analytics, automation, and operational transformation. You will gain hands-on experience with modern data foundations, interactive dashboards, and automation tools. The program provides training, mentorship, and opportunities to participate in social and professional events throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Build and train a machine learning model to forecast workloads for ESS.
- Locate and analyze current data sources within Zebra database systems.
- Create new data pipelines to connect missing data required for your model.
- Evaluate model accuracy and adjust parameters to ensure reliable predictions.
- Integrate your predictive model into an easy-to-read format for business leaders.
- Write documentation for your model and present your results to leadership.
- Manage team-based assignments and practice interpersonal skills through daily follow-ups.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Business Analytics.
- An anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and December 2028.
- Authorization to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
- Proficiency in a programming language, specifically Python.
- Practical experience building and adapting machine learning algorithms.
- Strong analytical skills and an interest in solving complex problems programmatically.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Commitment to ethical behavior and confidentiality.
