About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work within the Business Management team, which serves as the analytics and operational backbone for Zebra product lines. You will gain experience in turning sales, bookings, inventory, and sell-out data into forecasts and performance dashboards. Throughout the summer, you will participate in training, hands-on projects, and professional development activities while working under the guidance of a mentor.
What you'll do#
- Build an automated analytics pipeline and Power BI dashboard to combine internal sales data with external market indicators.
- Partner with stakeholders to design intuitive dashboards that track critical KPIs like revenue, channel inventory, pipeline health, and product trends.
- Combine internal sales records with macroeconomic indicators to create a unified dataset.
- Identify key market drivers that influence sales performance to support run-rate forecasting.
- Interview business users to translate their needs into clear technical dashboard and data requirements.
- Use LLM tools to write, optimize, and debug SQL queries and Power BI DAX.
- Validate data accuracy to ensure reporting is reliable.
- Present your finished dashboard, insights, and recommendations to team leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or Data Science, with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and December 2028.
- Authorization to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
- Proficiency in Power BI and SQL (joins, filters, aggregation).
- Advanced skills in Excel, including Pivot Tables and Power Query.
- Introductory knowledge of Python (pandas, numpy).
- Experience with LLM prompt engineering for SQL and DAX.
- Strong communication skills, logic-driven problem solving, and business acumen.
- Ability to learn new tools, data sources, and business processes quickly.
