About the role#
As a Student Ambassador, you will work on-site at our Charlottesville community. You will report to the General Manager and handle leasing, marketing, and resident relations. This is a part-time role requiring 20 to 25 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Greet prospective clients and conduct property tours.
- Handle phone calls and in-person inquiries while maintaining guest cards.
- Process lease paperwork, secure deposits, and prepare applications for approval.
- Assist with lease renewals and accept rental payments.
- Ensure apartments are ready for move-in and orient new residents.
- Support marketing efforts and participate in outreach activities.
- Maintain community appearance and ensure the office and model units are clean.
- Manage service requests and plan resident functions.
- Monitor market conditions and update reports.
- Enforce community policies and ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws.
- Participate in the turn process and maintain commission records.
What you'll need#
- Previous experience in an administrative role.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to be proactive with initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks.
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office and online databases.
- Resilience, adaptability, and cultural diversity awareness.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the General Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
