About the role#
Young Life Wichita is seeking a Student Staff member for Capernaum. This full-time, paid position involves active participation in the spiritual life of the Young Life community, leadership development, and direct ministry engagement. Candidates must be pursuing a college degree in fields such as Psychology, Communications, Nursing, or Philosophy. Please note that this position requires all employees to sign and subscribe to the Young Life Statement of Faith.
What you'll do#
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life.
- Recruit and train new leaders to build a leadership team that reflects the community.
- Participate in leadership with a team to conduct a Young Life club and discipleship ministry.
- Raise financial support as directed and maintain good donor care practices.
- Adhere to all Young Life policies and procedures regarding conduct, time management, and office administration.
- Model excellence in contact work and camping strategies for other leaders.
- Assist with camp fundraisers and attend committee or adult functions as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Proven relational skills with kids and adults.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Current enrollment in a college degree program.
- A commitment to the Christian mission and ministry of the organization.

- Compensation: $7.25 to $10 per hour, depending on education and experience.
