About the role#
The Wild West Region Intern Experience is a part-time, paid internship based in Meridian, Idaho. This role supports local ministry while connecting with a regional cohort of interns through monthly calls and check-ins. Interns receive individualized training supervised by an area director, focusing on personal spiritual maturity, character development, and ministry skills.
What you'll do#
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life.
- Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
- Raise financial support as directed and maintain good donor care practices.
- Participate on a team to implement a summer and school-season camping strategy.
- Engage in all levels of contact work and assist with club and discipleship ministry.
- Assist with office administration, expense reporting, and goal setting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program, with preferred majors including Psychology, Business Administration, Communications, Philosophy, or Nursing.
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Agreement with the Young Life Statement of Faith and commitment to the organization's ministry mission.
