About the role#
This Student Staff position provides an opportunity to gain direct field ministry experience while receiving training. The role focuses on developing ministry skills, spiritual growth, and leadership capabilities within the organization.
What you'll do#
- Learn to participate in effective ministry through training and field experience.
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan to foster a vibrant spiritual life.
- Engage in spiritual development, including prayer, fellowship, and active participation in a church community.
- Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development and model excellence in ministry activities.
- Raise financial support as directed and maintain donor care practices, including communicating ministry updates.
- Participate in direct ministry, including contact work, club events, and discipleship programs.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including data management, expense reporting, and office support.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program, with preference for majors in Psychology, Communications, Human Resources, Business Administration, or Sociology.
- Proven relational skills when working with both kids and adults.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Commitment to the Young Life Statement of Faith and the ability to serve as a representative of the organization's Christian mission.
