About the role#
Student Staff participate in direct field ministry while undergoing training to develop professional and spiritual skills. This role involves learning the core functions of ministry through hands-on experience, mentorship, and goal setting under the supervision of an area director. Applicants must be pursuing a college degree and are required to subscribe to the Young Life Statement of Faith.
What you'll do#
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life.
- Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
- Actively engage in all three levels of contact work.
- Raise financial support as directed and maintain good donor care practices.
- Adhere to all Young Life policies and procedures regarding professionalism, conduct, and time management.
- Participate in leadership teams to conduct club and discipleship ministry.
- Assist with office administration and complete necessary expense reports.
What you'll need#
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Enrollment in a college degree program (majors including Psychology, Communications, Sociology, Philosophy, Human Resources, or Business Administration).
