About the role#
Student Staff I positions are designed for individuals currently pursuing a college degree who are interested in ministry. This role involves active participation in spiritual development, leadership training, and resource development. The position requires a commitment to the Young Life mission and the ability to fulfill ministry functions as part of a team.
What you'll do#
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life.
- Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
- Raise financial support as directed and maintain good donor care practices.
- Participate in direct ministry activities, including contact work, club, and discipleship programs.
- Engage in leadership development by recruiting, training, and working with volunteer teams.
- Assist with administrative tasks, office support, and financial reporting as assigned.
- Participate in regional and area training to develop ministry skills and personal character.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program, with a preference for majors such as Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Human Resources, or Business Administration.
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Agreement with and commitment to the Young Life Statement of Faith.
