Student Staff

About the role#

Student Staff members participate in the Young Life mission by engaging in direct ministry, leadership development, and resource management. This role focuses on spiritual growth, community involvement, and gaining competency in ministry skills under the guidance of an area director or mentor. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term.

What you'll do#

• Develop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life, including time for solitude, retreat, reflection, prayer, and a commitment to understanding God’s Word.
• Actively participate in the spiritual life of the Young Life community.
• Communicate ministry updates and progress to personal donor partners.
• Raise financial support as directed and maintain donor care practices.
• Engage in direct ministry through contact work, club, Campaigners, and camping strategies.
• Meet regularly with volunteer leaders and area leadership to recruit, train, and build teams.
• Adhere to organizational policies regarding office administration, expense reporting, and time management.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a college degree, with preference for majors in Psychology, Human Resources, or Communications.
• Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Commitment to Young Life's Statement of Faith and ministry standards.

• Locations: Colorado Springs, CO and Corvallis, OR.
• Modality: On-site.
• Employment type: Full-time, paid.
• Note: This position requires fundraising $1,000 in personal support.
