About the role#
This is a part-time Student Staff I position based in Salem, Oregon. You will work 10-15 hours per week under the supervision of the area director. This role requires personal fundraising and involves active ministry work, leadership development, and administrative support within the local Young Life community.
What you'll do#
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan and participate in the spiritual life of the Young Life community.
- Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
- Engage in contact work, club, and Campaigners ministry.
- Implement camping strategies for both summer and the school season.
- Recruit and train new volunteer leaders.
- Meet regularly with volunteer leaders and area leadership.
- Model excellence in ministry activities.
- Raise financial support and maintain donor care practices, including regular communication of ministry updates.
- Assist with camp fundraisers and office administration.
- Complete expense reports and adhere to all organizational policies.
- Attend required regional training events.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a college degree.
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality.
- You must profess a belief in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord.
- You must subscribe to the Young Life Statement of Faith.

- Compensation: $15.55 to $19.25 per hour, depending on education, experience, and location.
