About the role#
Young Life Military offers a long-term internship for individuals who want to serve and grow in their faith. You will work alongside an experienced staff member at a U.S. military installation to support Club Beyond. This role focuses on building relationships with teens, modeling a life of faith, and creating a community where students can connect and find hope. You will live near the military community where you serve.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with supervising staff using team agenda tools.
- Lead and participate in Club Beyond club meetings and small group ministry.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan for your spiritual life.
- Attend Chapel on installation and participate in volunteer leader meetings.
- Meet weekly with a volunteer to discuss their involvement.
- Learn to recruit and train new leaders while building a leadership team.
- Develop community outreach for unchurched teens and provide discipleship for believing teens.
- Communicate monthly updates to your personal donor partners.
- Discuss raising financial support with your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- High school graduation at least 2 years prior to the start date.
- A deep love for Christ and for teens.
- A teachable heart and strong initiative.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Experience or skills in small event planning.
- Willingness to raise part of your budget through personal support.
- Commitment to a relational ministry approach.
- Energetic personality.
Location & details#
- This internship is located in Alabama, United States.
- The position is full-time and on-site.
- This is a paid internship, though you are responsible for raising a portion of your salary, ranging from $1,160 to $4,000 depending on the specific location and duration.
- The term is rolling.
