About the role#
Young Life Military offers a long-term internship for individuals who want to serve and grow in their faith. You will work alongside an experienced staff member at a military installation. This role involves direct ministry with teens, including organizing clubs, Bible studies, and camps. You will act as a mentor, helping teens build friendships and experience community.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with your supervising staff member for training and planning.
- Lead and participate in Club Beyond ministry activities and small groups.
- Create a 90-day personal growth plan focusing on prayer, reflection, and spiritual development.
- Attend Chapel on the installation.
- Attend volunteer leader meetings and mentor one volunteer weekly.
- Recruit and train new leaders to build a diverse leadership team.
- Raise financial support and send monthly updates to your donor partners.
- Assist with community outreach and equip volunteers for youth ministry.
What you'll need#
- You must have graduated from high school at least two years ago.
- A deep love for Christ and for teens.
- A teachable heart and strong initiative.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Experience or skills in small event planning.
- An energetic approach to ministry.
- A commitment to relational ministry and a willingness to raise part of your budget.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Columbia, South Carolina.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship, though you are responsible for raising a portion of your financial support.
