About the role#
Young Life Military is looking for individuals who want to serve and grow in their faith. This internship involves working with an experienced staff member at a military installation. You will help lead the Club Beyond program, which focuses on outreach to middle and high school students. You will spend time building relationships with teens, modeling your faith, and helping create a community where students can connect.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with your supervisor to review ministry goals and team agendas.
- Lead and participate in Club Beyond club meetings and small group ministry.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan to foster your spiritual life.
- Attend Chapel on the installation.
- Recruit and train new volunteers to build a diverse leadership team.
- Meet weekly with a volunteer to support their involvement.
- Manage community outreach efforts for teens who are not involved in church.
- Provide discipleship to believing teens.
- Communicate monthly updates to your personal donor partners.
- Discuss financial support goals and strategies with your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- You must have graduated high school at least two years ago.
- A deep love for Christ and for teens.
- Strong initiative and a teachable heart.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Energy and experience with small event planning.
- A commitment to a relational ministry approach.
- Willingness to raise part of your budget through personal support.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship based in California.
- The program follows a rolling schedule.
- You will be expected to live near the military community where you serve.
