About the role#
Young Life Military offers an internship for individuals interested in youth ministry leadership. You will work alongside experienced staff at a military installation to serve teens through the Club Beyond program. This role focuses on building community, modeling a personal example of Christ, and supporting the needs of military families. You will receive training and direction from supervising staff throughout your time in the program.
What you'll do#
- Conduct Club Beyond club and small group ministry for teens with a leadership team.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan that includes prayer, reflection, and Bible study.
- Meet weekly with supervising staff using team agenda tools.
- Lead and equip volunteers for middle and high school Christian youth ministry.
- Recruit and train new leaders to build a diverse leadership team.
- Meet weekly with a volunteer to discuss their involvement.
- Develop community outreach initiatives for unchurched teens.
- Attend volunteer leader meetings and Chapel services on the installation.
- Communicate monthly updates to your personal donor partners.
- Discuss financial support and fundraising with your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- A deep love for Christ and a heart for teens.
- High school graduation at least two years prior to starting.
- Strong initiative and an energetic approach to ministry.
- Ability to communicate clearly with others.
- A teachable heart and a commitment to relational ministry.
- Skills in small event planning.
- Willingness to raise part of your budget through personal support.
