About the role#
Young Life Military offers an internship for individuals looking to serve and grow in their faith while working with military teens. You will work alongside an experienced staff member to provide ministry through Club Beyond, an outreach program at military installations. This role focuses on building relationships with teens, modeling a personal example of faith, and creating a community where they can find connection and hope.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with supervising staff using team agenda tools.
- Lead and participate in Club Beyond club and small group ministry.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan for your spiritual development.
- Attend Chapel on the installation and volunteer leader meetings.
- Meet weekly with a volunteer to discuss their involvement.
- Learn how to recruit, train, and build a leadership team.
- Assist with community outreach and equip volunteers for youth ministry.
- Discuss raising financial support with your supervisor and communicate monthly updates to your donor partners.
What you'll need#
- You must have graduated high school at least 2 years ago.
- A deep love for Christ and for teens who do not know him.
- Strong initiative and a teachable heart.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Commitment to a relational ministry approach.
- Experience with small event planning.
- High energy.
- Willingness to raise part of your budget through personal support.
