About the role#
Young Life Military is seeking interns to serve at military installations. You will work alongside experienced staff to provide ministry to teens. This role focuses on building community and modeling a personal example of Jesus Christ. You will participate in activities such as clubs, Bible studies, and camps while helping teens develop friendships and resiliency. This position requires you to live near the community where you serve.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with supervising staff using team agenda tools.
- Conduct club and small group ministry for teens.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan for your spiritual life.
- Attend Chapel on installation and volunteer leader meetings.
- Recruit and train new leaders while building a leadership team.
- Meet weekly with a volunteer to discuss their involvement.
- Develop community outreach to unchurched teens and provide discipleship to believing teens.
- Lead and equip volunteers for middle and high school youth ministry.
- Communicate monthly updates with your personal donor partners.
- Discuss the process of raising financial support with your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- High school graduation at least 2 years prior to the start date.
- A deep love for Christ and for teens.
- Strong initiative and an energetic approach.
- A teachable heart and the ability to communicate well.
- Commitment to a relational ministry approach.
- Skills in small event planning.
- Willingness to raise part of your budget through personal support.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship. Interns are responsible for raising a portion of their salary through personal support.
