About the role#
The Mission Staff internship provides training and field experience in Young Life ministry. You will learn to lead and participate in effective ministry through a combination of direct service and leadership development. This is a part-time, paid position based in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
What you'll do#
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan to foster your spiritual life.
- Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
- Recruit, train, and meet with volunteer leaders and area leadership.
- Model excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners, and camping.
- Engage in contact work and lead teams to conduct Young Life club and discipleship ministry.
- Implement camping strategies and serve on a summer assignment at a Young Life camp.
- Raise financial support and maintain donor care practices.
- Manage finances with stewardship and transparency.
- Maintain accurate records of kids, leaders, and donors.
- Set and review yearly strategic ministry plans.
- Network and build relationships with community adults, including parents, pastors, and school principals.
What you'll need#
- A profession of belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord.
- Agreement with the Young Life Statement of Faith and organizational policies.
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality.
- A college degree is preferred.

- Compensation: $2,000 to $2,200 per month.
