About the role#

The GCU Student Staff I position is an opportunity for students to engage in ministry, leadership development, and spiritual growth. This role involves active participation in the Young Life community, requiring a commitment to the organization's mission and faith-based standards. This is a part-time, paid position based in Phoenix, Arizona.

What you'll do#

• Develop and maintain a yearly personal growth plan that fosters spiritual life, including prayer, reflection, and study.
• Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
• Raise financial support as directed and maintain consistent communication with donor partners.
• Engage in direct ministry through contact work, club leadership, and discipleship programs.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including expense reporting and office support.
• Participate in regional and area training to build ministry skills and leadership competency.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a college degree program, with a preference for majors such as Psychology, Communications, Human Resources, Business Administration, or Sociology.
• Proven relational skills when working with both youth and adults.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• A demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Commitment to Young Life's Statement of Faith and ministry standards.

• Location: Phoenix, Arizona.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Term: Rolling.
• Compensation: $15.35 per hour for 15 hours per week over a 9-month school season.
