California Intern - CA03 Santa Cruz

About the role#

This internship provides field ministry experience to help participants learn how to lead and participate in effective Young Life ministry. Interns will engage in spiritual development, leadership training, resource development, and direct ministry work. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.

What you'll do#

• Develop a yearly personal growth plan to foster a vibrant spiritual life.
• Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
• Recruit and train new leaders while modeling excellence in ministry activities.
• Raise financial support as directed and maintain consistent donor care practices.
• Manage finances with stewardship, accountability, and transparency.
• Lead a team to plan and conduct Young Life club and discipleship ministry.
• Implement camping strategies and serve on a summer assignment at a Young Life camp.
• Maintain accurate records for kids, leaders, and donors.

What you'll need#

• Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• A college degree is preferred.
• Candidates must profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord and subscribe to the Young Life Statement of Faith.

• Compensation: $27,000 per year ($2,250 per month)
