About the role#
The Technology & Operations Intern supports the Technology Operations and broader Operations teams by handling a wide range of technical and operational tasks. This role is designed to be broad and flexible, allowing you to assist with the day-to-day work that keeps the organization running. You will report to the IT Generalist and work directly with members of the Operations team, helping reduce execution load so staff can focus on higher-level priorities. This is an unpaid volunteer internship that includes a $2,500 scholarship awarded at the end of the term.
What you'll do#
- Execute operational and technical tasks including support tickets, data cleanup, and documentation.
- Perform spreadsheet organization and basic system updates.
- Assist with vendor follow-ups, contract filing, and event preparation.
- Manage a flexible, evolving task queue and adapt to shifting organizational needs.
- Support project-based work such as audits and the standardization of workflows.
- Gain exposure to internal tools, systems, and operational best practices.
What you'll need#
- Strong proficiency in Google Sheets, including formulas, structure, and data cleanup.
- General technical comfort and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
- High level of organization with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a flexible workload and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to ask questions.
- Professionalism and discretion when handling internal information.
- Alignment with the mission and principles of Young Americans for Liberty.
- Preferred majors include Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or Operations Management.

- Location: Austin, Texas (remote considered for exceptional candidates).
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Work Modality: Remote or on-site.
- Commitment: This is a part-time, unpaid volunteer position. Academic credit is supported where applicable.
