About the role#
As a Distribution Grid Ops Engineering Intern, you will work with engineering staff to support the Distribution Control Center and enable ADMS software. You will gain practical operations experience and receive mentoring to build your professional skills. This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support model tuning and track non-communicating devices.
- Assist with alarm limits and special projects related to Grid Operations Engineering.
- Perform entry-level engineering analyst tasks.
- Support tools, programs, and databases for outage coordination, power flow studies, and power system monitoring.
What you'll need#
- Current student status, Freshman or higher as of Fall 2027.
- Enrollment in an ABET accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering.
- An interest in power systems.
- A willingness to learn and ask questions.
