About the role#
This summer internship provides hands-on experience across HR operations and talent management. You will work on real-world projects that support our company culture and daily business functions. This role is full-time and runs from May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Manage employee files and perform data entry in the HRIS.
- Support recruitment by filtering resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating career fairs.
- Prepare onboarding materials and help conduct new employee orientations.
- Build and organize training courses within the Learning Management System and track employee progress.
- Assist with benefit administration, including invoice reconciliation and enrollment materials.
- Help process payroll and respond to unemployment inquiries.
- Create content for internal HR communications.
- Prepare departmental reports and contribute to various HR initiatives based on team needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior.
- A major in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
- A clear interest in pursuing a career in human resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and follow-through.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks while adjusting to shifting priorities.
- Previous office experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- Locations: Geneseo, Illinois and Davenport, Iowa. Occasional travel to company events is required.
- Modality: On-site.
