About the role#
As a Retirement Actuarial Intern, you will join our consulting team to support global organizations in optimizing the effectiveness of their employee retirement programs. You will work alongside top industry consultants to determine the right approach for designing, funding, investing, and governing retirement plans. This role offers exposure to real client assignments where you will apply your skills to intellectual challenges while building technical knowledge and industry expertise.
What you'll do#
- Provide expertise in retirement consulting.
- Analyze data, draw conclusions, and present results.
- Support clients with defined benefit or defined contribution plans.
- Learn how various services complement our retirement consulting practice.
- Build technical knowledge and overall industry expertise.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related quantitative field with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Ability to work legally in the United States indefinitely without visa sponsorship.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
- Prior work experience demonstrating technical or client service skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter and cooperatively in a team.
- Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions.
- Completion of one or more actuarial exams is highly preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Los Angeles, California.
- Modality: Hybrid (requires a mix of remote and in-office work).
- Compensation: $28 to $35 per hour, plus eligibility for overtime.
- Benefits: Eligible for a contributory pension plan and 401k savings plan.
