About the role#
WSP is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineering Co-op to join the Property & Buildings team in Philadelphia. This position is open to students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at Drexel University. The role is scheduled for the Spring and Summer 2027 semesters, with anticipated dates from March 29th through August 20th.
What you'll do#
- Support various engineering tasks to build technical and professional skills.
- Learn the principles of Mechanical (HVAC) Engineering.
- Read and interpret building plans and mechanical diagrams.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Use Autodesk Revit to model mechanical airside and hydronic systems.
- Work with senior engineers to create drawings and specifications.
- Travel to job sites to survey existing buildings and review construction progress.
- Learn engineering standards and codes while maintaining project documentation.
- Complete assigned training and follow company policies regarding conduct and resources.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited Mechanical or Architectural Engineering program at Drexel University.
- Graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Competent communication skills and the ability to take direction from leadership.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company health and drug policies.
- Preferred: Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit.
- Preferred: Prior internship experience or campus leadership involvement.

- Compensation: $23.90 - $31.11 per hour.
