About the role#
WSP is hiring a full-time Electrical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 program. This is a 12-week, on-site position based in our York, Pennsylvania office. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects to gain hands-on experience and professional development.
What you'll do#
- Support various engineering tasks to build your technical and ethical skills.
- Learn the basic principles of electrical engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
- Help prepare final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete assigned training modules.
- Follow company policies, including the Code of Conduct, and manage resources responsibly.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program for Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- An anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Competent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both engineering and non-engineering colleagues.
- Ability to take direction from managers and mentors.
- Basic proficiency with office software, spreadsheets, and technical writing tools.
- A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company health and conduct policies.
- Prior internship or campus leadership experience is preferred.
