About the role#
WSP is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineering (Distribution) Intern for our Saint Louis office. This 12-week summer program begins May 17, 2027. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects to gain hands-on experience in the power and energy sector.
What you'll do#
- Support various engineering tasks to build technical and ethical skills.
- Learn fundamental Electrical Engineering principles.
- Work under the guidance of experienced engineers on distribution design.
- Assist with data collection and engineering consulting services.
- Support distribution planning, coordination, sectionalizing, and arc-flash studies for Medium Voltage systems.
- Complete assigned training and perform additional duties as business needs require.
- Adhere to company policies regarding conduct, safety, and resources.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited Undergraduate or Graduate program for Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
- An anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Demonstrated interest in consulting engineering or the electric utility industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- A proven track record of workplace safety.
- Ability to follow health, safety, and harassment policies.
- Prior internship or leadership experience is preferred.

- This position is located in Saint Louis, Missouri.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship.
