About the role#
This internship provides students with hands-on experience in the aerospace and energy industry. You will work on projects that build business acumen while learning from finance and accounting professionals. This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Support FP&A teams during annual operating plan cycles and month-end close processes.
- Update and improve financial reports, dashboards, and resource planning strategies.
- Assist with cost center, profit center, and expense reporting, including data validation.
- Contribute to projects involving capital structure optimization, compliance, and ERP implementation.
- Handle financial accounting tasks such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and SEC reporting preparation.
- Analyze pricing, sourcing savings, and operational data to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Participate in audit assignments and documentation efforts to meet process requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a sophomore in an accredited college or university.
- A grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
- Pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Proficiency in Excel and basic knowledge of finance or accounting principles.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and adapt to new challenges.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR and EAR regulations.
Location & details#
- This position is on-site at our locations in Fort Collins, Colorado, or Niles and Rockford, Illinois.
- This role is full-time for the Summer 2027 term.
- Compensation is based on academic standing: $21.00 per hour for sophomores, $23.00 per hour for juniors, and $25.00 per hour for seniors.
