About the role#
Whittier Trust Company offers a 10-week summer internship program designed for students interested in wealth management. This full-time, paid position provides exposure to our client advisory and portfolio management teams. You will work on-site and participate in a major research project presented to our investment team.
What you'll do#
- Support Client Advisors with account management, cash flow analysis, and balance sheet creation.
- Maintain and organize client data within Salesforce.
- Assist with market and company research, including the analysis of earnings conference calls.
- Build and update financial models while ensuring data accuracy.
- Generate custom reports for Portfolio Managers using tools like Addepar, Bloomberg, FactSet, and Excel.
- Help track composite performance and monitor portfolios against our sector outlook.
- Handle administrative tasks such as presentation creation, printing, and document binding.
- Attend and assist with client events.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor's degree, ideally in Finance or Economics.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and research skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and emotional maturity.
- Demonstrated interest in the wealth management industry.
- A record of academic achievement and involvement in extra-curricular activities.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role available in Pasadena, Orange County, West LA, San Francisco, and San Diego.
- The program runs for 10 weeks, starting June 7, 2027.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
