2026 Intern - Mechanical Engineer

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a chemical manufacturing environment. Interns work under the direct supervision of a mentor or supervisor to support department operations and contribute to specific projects. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Houston, Texas.

What you'll do#

• Work on assigned projects under the guidance of a mentor or supervisor.
• Assist with day-to-day tasks within the assigned department or unit.
• Observe departmental activities to understand operational workflows.
• Participate in safety and environmental programs.
• Maintain a journal documenting work and activities throughout the internship.
• Deliver a final presentation to the management team.

What you'll need#

• Completion of at least the second year of college.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

• Location: Houston, Texas.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Physical Requirements: The role requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and the use of hands. It may involve working in operating units, which requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and hearing protection. Occasional travel may be required.
