About the role#
This internship offers a chance to develop skills in professional sports commerce while supporting the retail operations for West Seattle Junction FC and Rhodies FC. You will work directly with the Director of Operations to manage the club's retail presence, including matchday sales, inventory organization, and digital order fulfillment.
What you'll do#
- Support on-site retail activities for both squads at home matches.
- Execute product displays and visual setups.
- Maintain organized stock levels and handle inventory auditing.
- Process point-of-sale transactions and assist guests.
- Manage retail technology and POS software systems.
- Process online orders, handle shipping logistics, and manage customer inquiries.
- Maintain the official online team store.
- Partner with the marketing team on email outreach and product debuts.
- Evaluate market trends and identify potential new vendors.
- Propose creative ideas to improve the supporter shopping experience.
- Collaborate with marketing, ticketing, and team operations departments.
- Support merchandising sales at local events and club programming.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Sports Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- A passion for community-centered sports.
- Previous experience in retail or guest service roles.
- Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented, collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with Canva and Square payments.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Reliable transportation to Nino Cantu Stadium and event sites.

- Schedule: Reliable availability for all home matches, including some evenings and weekends.
