About the role#
The Sponsorship Outreach & Support Intern assists with sponsor relationships from initial research through in-season hospitality and reporting. This role works with the sales and leadership team to manage sponsor accounts and execute marketing activations. It is a hands-on position for students interested in sports management, marketing, sales, communications, or nonprofit partnerships. You will report to the Director of Operations.
What you'll do#
- Research local and regional sponsors that align with club goals.
- Assist with the sales process by tracking leads and preparing proposals.
- Coordinate sponsor fulfillment items like tickets and promotional assets.
- Act as a point-of-contact for sponsors during matchdays at Nino Cantu Stadium.
- Help plan and set up marketing activations and community events.
- Interact with sponsors, fans, and staff during games.
- Photograph sponsor activations and in-stadium branding for reports.
- Support post-game documentation and follow-up tasks.
What you'll need#
- An interest in sports, marketing, partnerships, or community engagement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfort interacting with people in a live event environment.
- Availability for some evenings and weekends during the season.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
