About the role#
West Seattle Junction FC and Rhodie FC are looking for an intern to support matchday broadcast operations for the 2027 season. This role involves managing live production for both the USL League Two men's team and the USL W League women's team. You will work in a live environment that requires multitasking and quick decision-making during match windows.
What you'll do#
- Manage live match streams from the initial technical setup to the final sign-off.
- Handle digital assets and prepare graphic overlays for real-time playback.
- Run audio and stream quality tests.
- Follow gameday production scripts by managing camera transitions, integrating commercial content, and updating live graphics.
- Use ProductionTruck software to control the live broadcast environment.
- Assist with pre-match logistics, including Starlink connectivity, camera positioning, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Work with matchday announcers and provide technical support for the stadium PA system.
- Manage live audio cues and music during play.
- Archive and upload broadcast recordings for post-match distribution.
- Complete additional operational tasks as directed by club leadership.
What you'll need#
- Comfort with production software and hardware or a strong aptitude for technical learning.
- Experience with Video Transmission Systems and multiple remote camera operation.
- Proficiency in digital tools like Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
- A career interest in media production, sports broadcasting, or live entertainment.
- A self-starting approach to solving technical problems in a live setting.
- A thorough understanding of soccer rules and gameplay.
- Experience with OBS Studio and Replay software is a plus, as is a background in A/V or livestreaming.
- Full availability for all home matches.
