About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship for students currently enrolled in an MBA program. You will join the Asset Management team to oversee a portfolio of seniors housing properties. The program provides exposure to the full asset lifecycle, including underwriting, business plan execution, and disposition. You will work on high-priority tasks and conclude the summer by presenting a capstone project to senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain financial models at the property and portfolio levels.
- Review operator and tenant financial performance to identify variances to budget and underwriting.
- Conduct research on submarkets, supply pipelines, demographics, and comparable transactions.
- Prepare asset business plans, hold/sell analyses, and portfolio review materials.
- Abstract and summarize leases, management agreements, and loan documents.
- Track capital activity, including expenditure budgets and funding requests.
- Compile data and create presentation materials for internal and investor reporting.
- Participate in property tours, operator calls, and investment discussions.
- Maintain asset management databases and improve reporting tools.
- Complete a summer capstone project with final recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA program.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to organize and summarize large data sets.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for presenting to experienced professionals.
- Intellectual curiosity and interest in real estate, health care, or the seniors housing sector.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and ask for direction when needed.
- A positive, professional attitude and a commitment to honesty and confidentiality.
- Exposure to ARGUS Enterprise or similar valuation software is a plus.

- This role is on-site in Dallas, Texas or New York, New York.
- The program takes place during Summer 2027.
