Imaging Intern - Diagnostic Radiology

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity to perform radiographic procedures at a technical level under the direction of a Certified Radiographer. You will work within the designated work area, using independent judgment and initiative to achieve quality examinations while maintaining indirect supervision.

What you'll do#

• Perform a variety of radiologic procedures and operate equipment to produce quality images.
• Transfer and position patients, including the use of immobilization devices as needed.
• Select proper technical factors based on individual patient needs.
• Maintain radiation safety standards for yourself and patients.
• Document patient activity in computer systems and follow departmental procedures.
• Assess and interpret patient age-specific data to provide appropriate care.
• Practice sterile techniques, universal precautions, and maintain a sanitary environment.
• Contribute to a safe environment by reporting hazards and participating in safety education.
• Provide outstanding service to all customers and foster teamwork.

What you'll need#

• Must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited radiologic technology certificate program.
• Documented satisfactory completion of all clinical competency requirements within your program.
• Knowledge of radiation safety standards and principles of growth and development across the lifespan.
• Ability to assess and interpret patient age-specific data.

• Location: Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: PRN, varied shifts (Day/Evening/Night).
• Status: Paid, full-time, rolling term.
