About the role#
Wellness Road Psychology is seeking an Undergraduate Intern to serve as an Intake Coordinator. This part-time position requires 8 to 10 hours per week, with availability needed during weekday afternoons and evenings, or on weekends. This is a one-year commitment beginning in August and concluding the following July.
What you'll do#
- Schedule and conduct screening phone calls with prospective patients.
- Document patient demographics, medical and mental health history, and reasons for seeking treatment.
- Collaborate with clinicians and office administrators to match patients with appropriate providers.
- Maintain compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards and ensure patient discretion at all times.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior at a 4-year university.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Health Sciences, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with community members with various needs.
- Ability to work independently with strong communication skills and empathy for diverse populations.
- Access to a laptop and a private, uninterrupted space to ensure patient privacy.
- Valid US work authorization.

- This role is remote, but candidates must be located in New York State.
- Compensation is $17 per hour.
