About the role#
Wellness Road Psychology is seeking an Undergraduate Intern to serve as an Intake Coordinator. This part-time role requires 8-10 hours per week, with a one-year commitment running from August through the following July. This is a paid position at $17 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Schedule and conduct screening phone calls with prospective patients.
- Document patient demographics, medical and mental health history, and reasons for seeking treatment.
- Collaborate with clinicians and office administrators to match patients with appropriate providers.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior status at a 4-year university.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Health Sciences, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with community members with various needs.
- Ability to work independently with strong communication skills and empathy for diverse populations.
- US work authorization.
Location & details#
- This position is remote, but candidates must be located in New York State.
- You must have a laptop and a private, uninterrupted space to ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Availability is required for weekday afternoons and evenings, or weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
