About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain professional experience in the power generation field. You will work in a plant and office setting, assisting with project engineering, planning, and technical support across 30 hydroelectric facilities in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Apply your classroom learning to real-world engineering projects.
- Combine engineering science with team-building and communication skills.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating equipment and system performance.
- Support the maintenance of reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Gain hands-on experience in a professional utility environment.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Graduation date after July 2027.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8.
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSE.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in plant, outdoor, and office settings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Location: Iron Mountain, Michigan.
- Term: Summer 2027 (starting May or June).
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: $23.10 to $27.55 per hour, plus paid company holidays.
