About the role#
This co-op position offers students a chance to build skills in engineering fundamentals and project management within the gas industry. You will gain a working knowledge of natural gas transmission and distribution engineering through exposure to gas facilities, construction, system maintenance, and asset management systems.
What you'll do#
- Support network models of gas distribution systems.
- Review and analyze gas asset information including mains, valves, and stations.
- Participate in training to learn about natural gas industry standards, work procedures, and materials.
- Perform site visits to observe utility construction, maintenance, and customer service functions.
- Design and generate reports for engineering, regulatory, and operational requests.
- Assist engineers with capital construction projects.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma, GED, or HSED.
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8.
- Graduation date later than July 2027.
- Preference is given to those pursuing degrees in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
