    About the role#

    The Student Auxiliary Services (SAS) Conference Coordinator supports the planning and execution of camps, meetings, and special events at the university. You will work with the Associate Director of Business Development and Conference Services to manage event logistics and ensure campus facilities are ready for guests.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage room reservations using the EMS system.
    • Process and track summer housing requests through StarRez.
    • Act as a primary contact for internal and external clients.
    • Draft event contracts, proposals, and cost estimates.
    • Coordinate event requirements with dining, facilities, and parking departments.
    • Maintain accurate event calendars and documentation.

    What you'll need#

    • Experience coordinating facility reservations and event logistics.
    • A background in customer service handling client inquiries.
    • Proficiency in administrative support and record keeping.
    • The ability to maintain accurate documentation and calendars.
    • Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Communications, or Operations Management.

    • This position is based in Detroit, Michigan.
    • The role is on-site and full-time.
    • This is a paid position with a rolling term.
