Intern Help Desk Technician

About the role#

Watchfire is seeking an Intern Help Desk Technician to join our technical support team. This role serves as a core point of contact for end users and sign technicians, providing installation, service, maintenance, and software operation assistance. This position is technical in nature, focusing on high-quality support and first-call resolution.

What you'll do#

• Provide prompt technical support to customers, dealers, and end-users.
• Contribute to the improvement and expansion of the Watchfire knowledgebase through troubleshooting and how-to documentation.
• Maintain accurate customer records in the service database for all calls, emails, and chats.
• Complete special software and engineering assignments as needed.
• Participate in occasional weekend on-call or remote support duties.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a full-time student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration (new graduates are also eligible).
• A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including setup, cabling, or PC maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of electronics gained through college coursework.
• At least 1 year of prior helpdesk or phone support experience, preferably in an IT or software environment.
• Exceptional verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to provide high-quality customer service.
