About the role#
The Intern Help Desk Technician role focuses on delivering technical support to end users and sign technicians. You will assist with installation, service, maintenance, and software operation training. This position is technical in nature and requires a strong commitment to customer service.
What you'll do#
- Provide prompt technical support to customers, dealers, and end-users.
- Improve and expand the company knowledgebase through troubleshooting and how-to documentation.
- Maintain detailed customer records in the service database for all calls, emails, and chats.
- Complete special software and engineering assignments as needed.
- Participate in occasional weekend on-call or remote support duties.
- Interact with the design and engineering teams on technical projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student pursuing an AA, AAS, AS, or BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field. New graduates are also eligible.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and electronics, including relevant college coursework.
- At least 1 year of experience in helpdesk or phone support, ideally within IT, software, or computer support.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills and demonstrated customer service ability.
- Ability to work on-site in Danville, Illinois.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
