About the role#
As an Assistant Project Manager Intern, you will support the project management team across various stages of construction projects. This role covers design, estimating, billing, execution, change management, and project closeout. You will work on-site in Jacksonville, Florida.
What you'll do#
- Assist with contract review and execution.
- Handle project financial and operational setup in software.
- Review and analyze project schedules.
- Manage the submittal process, including log setup, review, corrections, and distribution to vendors and subcontractors.
- Maintain and distribute construction documents like drawings, specifications, and requests for information.
- Support all aspects of change management and estimating for project changes.
- Help with material procurement.
- Manage project closeout and create maintenance and operation manuals.
- Complete tasks within established timelines and follow directions from your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Currently pursuing an associate degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience managing resources such as budgets, schedules, and materials.
- Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professionalism, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Ability to sit at a desk for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
