The Partnerships & Civic Health Intern serves as a link between the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) and Vot-ER. This role supports the expansion of relationships with health institutions and manages initiatives for the Emergency Patient Voting (EPV) Program. This internship is unpaid and requires documentation confirming that the student will receive academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Maintain communication with existing partners to increase engagement.
- Identify new health-related organizations to expand the national footprint.
- Prepare and execute mobilization strategies and communication assets for Civic Holidays.
- Organize and train health professional students to facilitate voting access for patients facing unexpected hospitalization.
- Develop patient-facing educational materials and bedside toolkits for emergency ballot requests.
What you'll need#
- Active membership in the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA).
- Ability to provide documentation from an academic institution for course credit.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Commitment to racial equity and inclusion.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
Location & details#
- Location: Remote
- Duration: Summer 2026 and Fall 2026
- Hours: 15 to 20 hours per week
- Compensation: Academic credit only
