About the role#
The Partnerships & Civic Health Intern serves as a link between the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) and Vot-ER. This role focuses on deepening organizational ties, onboarding new partners, and managing initiatives for the Emergency Patient Voting (EPV) Program. This is a remote internship requiring 15 to 20 hours per week during the Summer and Fall of 2026.
What you'll do#
- Support the Deputy Director of Partnerships in managing communication with existing partners to increase engagement.
- Identify and onboard new health-related organizations to expand the national footprint.
- Prepare and execute mobilization strategies and communication assets for Civic Holidays, such as National Voter Registration Day and Vote Early Day.
- Organize and train health professional students to help patients facilitate voting access during unexpected hospitalizations.
- Create educational materials and bedside toolkits to streamline the emergency ballot request process.

- Active membership in APAMSA.
- Documentation from your institution confirming you will receive academic credit for this internship.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing deadlines and multiple workstreams.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple projects.
