The Partnerships & Civic Health Intern serves as a bridge between the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) and Vot-ER. This role focuses on strengthening relationships with health institutions, expanding the organization's national footprint, and leading initiatives for the Emergency Patient Voting (EPV) Program. You will work 15 to 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Support the Deputy Director of Partnerships in maintaining communication with existing partners to increase engagement.
- Identify and onboard new health-related organizations to expand the national network.
- Prepare and execute mobilization strategies and communication assets for Civic Holidays, including National Voter Registration Day and Vote Early Day.
- Organize and train health professional students to assist patients with voting access during unexpected hospitalizations.
- Develop educational materials and bedside toolkits to streamline the emergency ballot request process.
What you'll need#
- Active membership in the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA).
- Documentation confirming you will receive academic credit for this internship.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment using digital tools.
- A commitment to racial equity and inclusion.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Majors in Public Health, Communications, Political Science, or Health Administration are preferred.

- Location: Remote (United States).
- Term: Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship requiring academic credit.
