About the role#
As a Technical Writer Co-op, you will join the Product Documentation team to learn the full release cycle. This position provides mentorship and hands-on experience to help you launch your career in technical writing. You will contribute to the success of our products by creating clear, helpful documentation for our users.
What you'll do#
- Write and update content that guides users through our product features and functionality.
- Work with cross-functional teams to keep documentation in sync with product development.
- Interview subject matter experts to gather technical details.
- Design visuals to help explain complex information.
- Review your work to ensure it is accurate, concise, and follows our internal style guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Strong writing and communication skills, with experience writing for different types of audiences.
- Ability to analyze complex ideas and explain them to both technical and non-technical readers.
- Knowledge of documentation processes, such as single sourcing.
- Experience with tools like Madcap Flare, Adobe Illustrator, or video editing software is a plus.
- Current enrollment in a program such as Computer Science, English, Communications, Journalism, or Media Studies.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid co-op position based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
- The role follows a hybrid schedule with in-office days on Tuesday through Thursday and remote work on Monday and Friday.
- We are hiring for the Winter 2027 and Summer 2027 terms.
- Monthly compensation ranges from $3600 to $4500.
