About the role#
Vincennes University is hiring student workers for the Recreation Center. This role involves maintaining the facility and assisting patrons. You will report directly to the Shift Leader. Shifts vary across mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
What you'll do#
- Clean and disinfect all equipment.
- Work across different locations in the Recreation Center and P.E. Complex.
- Set up and tear down for events in a timely manner.
- Enforce Recreation Center rules, policies, and regulations.
- Inspect the facility and report unsafe conditions or equipment to the Shift Leader.
- Learn the operation of all facility equipment.
- Answer questions from patrons.
- Attend and participate in all meetings and training sessions.
- Stay focused on your tasks while on the clock.
What you'll need#
- A High School diploma or GED is required.
- First Aid certification is preferred.
- CPR and AED certifications are preferred.
- BBP (Bloodborne Pathogens) certification is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Vincennes, Indiana.
- Work is on-site.
- This is a part-time role. Student employees work up to 20 hours per week, while part-time employees may work up to 28 hours per week.
- Hiring is on a rolling basis.
